The way children's progress is being reported has changed. The Government no longer wish schools to report children's progress in terms of levels, but instead we use 'age related expectations', i.e. what a child should be able to understand and achieve in any given age group. For example, a child in Y4 that is working at an expected level, or is 'secure', would know and understand the objectives that most Y4s should be able to do.
